This is such a great time of year here in the city and gets even better as we get into December — everyone is gearing up for the holidays! The trees begin to get hung with lights, the ice rinks are open and buzzing with skaters, and the shops. It’s such a fun time of year to go shopping.
Our Holiday Season
I love when my Mom comes out and we go out all day to shop, eat and enjoy the city. This year will be extra special as it’s Sebastian’s first full holiday season. His birthday is in early December so we have something extra special planned for the holidays! So, with the holidays, Sebastian’s birthday, traveling and the business, time is tight. We don’t have a lot of extra time to spend shopping for stuff to get ready for the holidays.
In both our families, every year we have always started the holiday celebrations early. Our decorations are pulled out of storage and we pick up a few new pieces here and there. This season is no different and we have the trusted our partner, Marks & Spencer, to help us reign in another season together. As we all know, this time of year means lots of holidays parties. Whether you are hosting or attending, M&S has you covered. They have everything you need; the perfect party dress, decorations, lights, cards, games, luxury items and more. All your holiday gift ideas are right here and the shopping experience is fantastic. Not to mention, the delivery is fast so you can get started early this year.
We love dressing up for holidays. Here was our post from last year’s Christmas preparations right before little Sebastian arrived. One of Matt’s favorite things to do is dress up Sebastian. Matt wanted to once again get Sebastian a tuxedo for Christmas. It’s perfect for all the holiday parties this season. Now, we just need to get Matt a new tuxedo to match Sebastian!
As for my look, I can’t wait to wear my new holiday dress. I love the floral print and it totally works for winter. A few of my other favorite pieces for the season are these two gorgeous velvet dresses here and here, and this cotton rich jacket. My favorite seasonal outfit from their collection is this velvet gold button blazer, red polo neck jumper, and checked slim trousers.
We are so excited to begin decorating the house with Sebastian. Now that he is so close to walking, it’s going to be so much fun to get the tree. Each year, Matt and I walk down the street to get a Christmas tree and haul it back on our backs. It reminds us of being back in the Midwest going to cut down the tree and bringing it back home. This year, I think we are going to rent a car, drive up north and cut down our own tree. Can’t wait. Until then, I think we are going to get out to Central Park and do a little ice skating. Hope you all are as excited for the holidays as us!
