5 Hair Masks to try this Spring
With winter finally behind us, it’s now time to give our hair a break from the cold dry air and start preparing our lovely locks for summer. As much as we love the warmer weather, our hair takes a beating with the excessive sun exposure, saltwater and chlorine. If you’re like me, you’ll continue to use your blowdryer, curling iron and straightener. It can really take a toll on our hair.
One way that I moisturize and hydrate my hair between salon visits, is to apply a hair mask 1-2 times a week. Hair masks are one of my biggest hair secrets. The benefit highly outweighs of the cost of the product. When applying hair masks, be sure to only apply to your ends. I never apply masks to the top of head. They tend to weigh down my hair, making it look oily. Start at the ends and leave the masks on for 5-10 minutes. When I want a deep conditioning, I leave it on for a few extra minutes!
Below are five hair masks to try this spring:
Alterna Haircare Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Masque
Price: $45.00
If you’ve ever tried the Alterna Haircare line, you’ll know that their products hold up to their promise. This moisturizing mask helps to nourish dry, coarse and damaged hair. As you can see in the photo, I’ve been using this mask a lot in my beauty routine. Not only does this mask help rejuvenate your hair, but it also reconstructs over-processed hair. What’s also great about this masque is that it’s formulated without sulfates and phthalates!
Obliphica Professional Seaberry Medium to Coarse Mask
Price: $38.00
When it comes to professional products in your home, the Obliphica mask is a great choice. The high concentration of active ingredients help reduce the dryness of your scalp and deeply nourishes your hair follicles. Like the other masks, this will help improve the strength of your hair and reduce future breakage.

Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Strength Butter Repairing Rinse-Out
Price: $5.99
This mask is a great budget friendly choice. The first thing you’ll notice about the mask, is the rich aromas! The thick hair butter is designed to help reconstruct your hair’s strength for stronger and rejuvenated hair. This mask left my hair soft and smooth, making it much more manageable when I need to style it.
All Natural DIY
You’ll likely have honey and oil in your pantry. If you need a quick lift, mix 2 tbsp of honey and 3 tbsp of oil and apply it to the ends of your hair. Put on a shower cap and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse your hair throughly. Wash with your usual shampoo and conditioner. Works like a charm!
Hope you enjoyed the post! What are some of your favorite hair masks?
