At one point in our lives, I’m sure all of us have known someone that has been affected by cancer. When I was ten years old, my grandfather passed away from cancer and when I was in college, my first dog passed away from cancer. At the time, I didn’t fully understand how traumatic cancer could be to so many people. Over the years, I’ve heard incredible and encouraging stories from so many people who have either gone through treatment or related to someone with the illness. As the number of cancer survivors in the U.S. continues to grow, there is an increasing need for resources and support to help them get back to everyday life and work after diagnosis and treatment.

One of my favorite retailers, QVC (see my last post here), has teamed up with Cancer + Careers to create an amazing foundation and they’re doing incredible things for cancer patients. For those battling cancer put on a brave face every day, particularly as they continue to work during treatment.  Cancer + Careers empowers and educates people with cancer to thrive in their workplace, by providing expert advice, interactive tools and educational events.

How to apply to self tanner

1. LIGHTLY EXFOLIATE WITH SUGAR SCRUB. I MIX 1 TBSP of SUGAR AND 1 TBSP of OLIVE OIL then APPLY TO THE SKIN WHILE IN SHOWER. AFTER EXFOLIATING, I RINSE AND FINISH WITH SHAVING.
2. AFTER SHOWER I APPLY A BODY BUTTER TO MY ENTIRE BODY.
3. WAIT 30-45 MINUTES TILL LOTION HAS FULLY DRIED AND APPLY ST. TROPEZ MOUSSE WITH MITT, MAKING CIRCULAR MOTION.
4. I ALWAYS APPLY IN THE LIGHT. I CAN SEE ANY AREAS I MIGHT HAVE MISSED.
5. WASH HANDS AND LET DRY FOR 5-10 MINUTES.
6. PUT ON DARK CLOTHES AND WAIT 24 HOUR TO SHOWER.
7. For streaks and blotches, rub 1/2 of a lemon to dilute and buff out with towel.
8. Stay moisturized for longer tan!

Here are three other ways I use argan oil

The Joise Maran argan oil was one of the first oils I used in my beauty routine. Someone who suffers from dry skin, I applied a few drops before putting on moisturizer.

1. Apply to cuticles and nails beds. This helps strengthen your nails and keep your cuticles hydrated.
2. When my hair feels dry and brittle, I apply to the ends and wrap with a hot towel.
3. Use as a lip conditioner. When your lips feel chapped, apply a few drops and lightly rub to keep your lips for soft and smooth.
