Our Article Dining Table and Chairs

For the longest time, we were looking for the perfect dining table and chairs to fit our NYC apartment. Our dining area and large living room were open concept. Space was limited for dining so we needed a table that could fit the four of us but leave the room feeling spacious. Anytime you split-up a room, it can be difficult to make it look cohesive. We wanted to make sure we kept the mid-century modern/Scandinavian style of our apartment, yet also provided functionality without overtaking the space. We knew we needed a circular table because a standard rectangle-shaped table wouldn’t allow us the flowing space we envisioned for the room. Then we discovered Article.

Transitioning

Now that we have moved out of our Manhattan apartment and into a new home here in the suburbs, we were excited to set-up the dining table in our new space. In the new house, we decided to use the Seno table as a breakfast table in the kitchen, separating it from a living room that connects. We make a point to eat dinner every night as a family and it makes for the perfect spot to relax and eat together. Not often you can find a set that looks good in a tiny NYC apartment and then transitions perfectly to be a focal point in a new house in the suburbs. Kid Friendly + Durable

Adding one last piece. As much as us adults love it, it’s super kid-friendly. It doesn’t scratch easily and the round design keeps the kiddos clear of hard corners. We also love it because it fits both our boosters chairs nice on the chair surface. We’re able to secure the seats under and around the chairs.
