Summer is already winding down and I can’t believe I am even typing that right now. While it’s been hot for a long time now, it does feel as though we just got started. So much has happened over the last couple months with Sebastian, our apartment and of course, the business. Now we have just a few more trips to the beach and then the new school year starts. Time has flown by as Sebastian is already in his second full year of school. He is growing like a leaf and I swear he has shot up a couple inches in just the last month or so. Sebastian is going through his clothes quicker than ever. So with back to school upon us, it’s perfect timing to refresh his wardrobe and apparel. The white summer tees and beach shorts aren’t going to make the list for school so we had some shopping to do. For back to school we are partnering with Walmart. Their kid’s fashion is stocked full of so many cute options for both his wardrobe and all his school essentials. Sebastian is really into super heroes and Toy Story right now, so he was so excited to shop with us. While we purchase most of our items online now, I remember how much fun it was to go shopping with my Mom for all my back to school stuff. Walking down the aisle, picking out my new binder, backpack, notebooks, pencils, etc. It was so much fun and being able to experience Sebastian getting excited about all his new school stuff, was just a perfect moment. Some of our favorites for everything back to school are below…

Tops

Sebastian’s shirts are what he goes through the fastest especially in the summer time. The city takes a toll on all of our clothes but especially for a curious little two year old. Whites don’t stay white very long and his beach shorts are always filled with sand. We are going to kick the new school year off with polo shirts as the hero piece. They go with denim, khaki’s, and his play shorts. Easy to get on and off, especially for mornings when we are all running late.

Bottoms

Swim trunks were the theme of the summer but we are transitioning to khaki shorts and denim for the start of the new school year. Matt loves to dress Sebastian for school and I can see a lot of polos and jean short outfits in Sebastian’s future. One of the biggest things we love about shopping at Walmart for occasions like back to school is the selection. There are so many options to choose from for us but also with all the character prints, it makes it fun for Sebastian as well. One stop shopping!

Shoes

Walmart’s Kids Fashion has really added a lot to their shoe selection. All of their styles are practical for active kids and they’re affordable which is great when Sebastian is growing so fast. We bought him the sneakers with the orange detailing but I’m also obsessed with the Croc rain-boots. For school, he needs shoes that he can slip on and off with ease and his Athletic Works shoes are perfect. Durable and stylish.

Accessories

Perhaps Sebastian’s favorite part of the shopping spree was the backpacks! He loves looking through all the different character backpacks that Walmart had available. Ever since he watched Toy Story on the plane home to his Grandparents, he can’t get enough of Buzz Lightyear. He had to have the Toy Story Backpack set. It’s a little big but he loves it and it gives hime some room to grow into it. And it will last longer! Yaaay!
