Our recent trip to Santa Barbara was a walk down memory lane and the perfect way to spend our anniversary. We have so many great memories from our past trips there from when we lived in San Francisco. This trip we wanted to make sure we made the most of it and photograph as much of it as we could. One of the hardest parts of any trip, believe it or not, is making sure I have a wardrobe ready that aligns with our agenda. It can take a lot of time and energy, which we don’t always have, to get it all perfect. This is where our partners come into play. As many of you who follow us know, we love StitchFix! They partnered with us for our anniversary and made sure we had the right pieces to wear throughout our trip out west. It worked out great.

If you are unfamiliar with StitchFix, let me fill you in. They are your personal stylist service that evolves with you. Based on your style, needs, and lifestyle, they will provide you with pieces or outfits that turn those fashion ideas into reality. It’s a super simple process where you let them know (based on specific questions they ask) what you are looking for and their stylists will select pieces that transform your wardrobe. It doesn’t have to be strictly hero pieces or ones that fit a specific event. You can also get pieces that complement your current wardrobe or that extend the life of what you currently have in your closet. That is one of the main drivers behind them being so successful. It’s the attention to detail that allows you to get the pieces you want and anything that may not be exactly what you had in mind. You can return what doesn’t work out for free!

I have been using Stitch Fix’s service for months now. For this particular trip, I needed hero pieces but also a few pieces that could work with some of my staples to form the completed looks I needed. We weren’t going to solely be at the resort and beach so I needed to makes sure I had a hero dress and a few pieces to go with my current wardrobe.
