Prep

In preparation for NYFW, a few beauty items needed to be done. First, I went by Bliss Spa to get a facial and freshen up my skin with the youth as we know it facial. They do such an incredible  job and feeling you get when leaving is truly refreshing. It’s easily one of my favorites places in the city to get a facial and you should definitely check them out when you are in need and in the city. The prices are on the higher side, but it’s worth the experience and overall treatment.

Next stop was Natalie Cupid for a quick spray tan. I actually didn’t get a lot of sun this summer so I needed to get some color back into my skin, even if just temporarily. Highly recommend them if you are in need of a quick tan. After my tan, I got my lashes done at Secret Lashes. I’ve shared them a few times on Stories. Itis my absolute favorite place to get lash extensions. And, it’s only $65! In a perfect world, I would have stopped by the nail salon, but timing wasn’t on my side this week.

Note to self, when going to multiple salons in one day, consider this booking order -> facial, nails, lashes and then spray tan!

Day 1 NYFW

My first day of fashion week was great. The day started off with a trip to LensCrafters for my regular eye exam. I’m a busy woman and mom, but we always make time for our annual eye exams. I’ve been getting them since I was 13, so I have the exam down to a science.  A little about me, my vision isn’t the greatest, to say the least. I am always trading off between my contact lenses and glasses. As with each season comes new styles of frames and better performing lenses. LensCrafters has this really neat new digital eye exam, Clarifye. It essentially creates a digital fingerprint of your eye. They’re able to show you the current condition of your eye and overall healthy. Something that is very important to our family. As a tech girl, technology never ceases to amaze me. After the exam, I got great news, my stigmatism went away and my eye are stable. After I aced my eye exam, I looked at a few frames and picked out a few of my favorites. I’m going back this week to make my final decision, can’t wait to show you my new frames!!

Shows

My first runway show of the season was for Sachin & Babi, which is always one of my favorites each year. The dress I’m wearing is from their collection and I absolutely adore the pattern and fit. By the way, do you remember when I wore another one of their dresses to Napa? Their show last year was very romantic and whimsical and this year was all about the finer details. It was so cool to see the dress I am wearing in the show. It would be amazing to actually be in the show. One can dream, right?! In the afternoon, I headed over to ShopBop’s event and brought along Matt and Sebastian. They had the cutest little puppies there and seeing Sebastian’s eyes light up when the little puppy walked over to him was awesome. Can’t wait to get another doggie.

After a few pics with the pups I headed out to my next show, Noon by Noor, while Matt took Sebastian home. The set-up was so great. If you arent familiar with their line, they are known for being modern and refined. Their Fall ’17 line featured oversize designs and brought out true feminine elegance and sophistication.

Next, I made my way to Tadashi. The collection was absolutely stunning! His collection was full of whimsical dresses, from floral, glitter and lace. He’s an emerging designer and his collection is now Nordstrom, Macy’s and Saks, to name a few.
