5 Things to do on Sunday for a more Productive Work Week
After a fun weekend with family and friends, transitioning from play to work on Sundays can be difficult. I’ve found a few ways to make things a little smoother on Monday by doing these five things on Sunday!
1. Wake up early
Set your alarm back 30 minutes. This will allow you to wake up and prepare for the day without feeling rushed. Have something to eat, make some coffee, or even get a super quick workout in. Worse case you can snooze longer than usual Monday mornings are always tough. That little extra time goes a long way to reduce any stress and relax as you transition from weekend to the work week.
2. Plan your outfits for Monday and Tuesday
You don’t need to plan out the entire week, but just pull a few things from your closet and have them ready to go. It will be one less thing to worry about in the morning. Oh yes and remember to iron/steam the pieces the night before.

3. Go to the store and pick up a few things to make yourself breakfast
It’s easy to grab something on the way to work, but breakfast at home beats a bagel at a bodega any day. If you want a quick and easy acai bowl recipe, check out my favorite acai recipe here. I love getting fresh fruit & yogurt and having it ready to go. You can always take it with you if you need to head out early.

4. Plan your workout schedule
Every Sunday I plan out my workouts in my calendar. If it’s in your calendar, there’s a much better chance you’ll go! Just write it down (or type it in). If you’re like me, schedule all your classes on ClassPass. We all hate paying fees, this always (well nearly always) guarantees I’ll wake up and go to class. Great way to diversify your workouts as well.
5. Setup a time to meet with a mentor or person of influence at your work
This doesn’t need to be someone you work with, but someone who look up to and admire. Meet them for lunch, coffee or cocktails. Catch up with them for an hour. Ask them questions, share with them your goals and get honest feedback. Be sure to keep in touch with them regularly as they can be the greatest assets you have in your professional life.
