3 Lipsticks to Try This Month
Happy National Lipstick Day! Last year, Man Repeller wrote a piece on National Lipstick Day, detailing all the facts — can’t believe it was once deemed witchcraft! Crazy. Right? I couldn’t imagine a world where wearing lipstick was frowned upon. Thanks goodness times have changed!
To celebrate what should be a national holiday, I’m sharing three lipsticks to try out this month. They are versatile enough to compliment both your workwear and your everyday outfits. Hope you enjoy!
NARS Barbara
What I love most about NARS lipsticks is that they are creamy on your lips and makes them feel moisturized. Barbara by NARS is a rich matte nude. It’s has a medium matte finish and uses nothing that dries out your lips. As you can see below, it has a slight rose color to the finish. It’s a beautiful color that can be worn to work and after hours. Nude is a big trend right now. If you are looking to try out a nude color and don’t know where to start, try out the NARS Barbara! If I were to only own one brand of lipstick, it would be the NARS collection.
BITE Gingersnap
A few years ago, I started wearing Bite lipstick. What really pulls me to this collection of lipstick is the wide variety of colors available. It’s highly pigmented and lasts for several hours. When it comes to coral lipsticks, Gingersnap by Bite ranks #1 in my book. It’s bright color and smooth application makes it the perfect candidate for an everyday lipstick. After a long day at the office, especially during the summer, this coral lipstick will brighten up your face for an evening out. You can also apply it to your cheeks to add some color to your face. Love it!
KAT VON D Lolita
I’ve been a fan of Kat Von D ever since she first appeared on Miami Ink. When she released her makeup line, I immediately went out to get some. What I’ve loved most is her colors contain the perfect amount of pigment. In the Studded Kiss Collection, she has a wide range of colors, everything from the perfect matte nude to shimmery bronze. Kat Von D has a huge fan base and when it comes to her makeup, they are a loyal group. Their choice for the #1 lipstick in her collection is Lolita. I have to agree 🙂 This shade is described as a dusty rose, but has berry undertones, making it perfect for everyday wear. This lipstick reminds me of a stain, instead of a rich finish, it’s lightweight, adding the perfect amount of shade and making it great for every skin tone.

These are beautiful picks! One lipstick in hearing so much about is the Maybelline colour sensational the Bold colours in Gone Greige. Very earthy and interesting. Lots of bloggers are talking about it too. It’s a cool colour and I picked it up today for fall. Good transition colour from summer to fall.
