A few weeks ago while scroll through Pinterest I found the cutest outfit inspiration. The woman was wearing a black and white gingham midi skirt with a white tee. She completed the look with a boater hat and sandals. The look was effortless. After searching for a similar skirt, I stumbled upon this A.L.C. skirt. It wasn’t gingham, but it was 60% off, so I decided to add it to my cart. Initially I was hesitant to add something that would most like be worn in colder months, but like most of my black and white striped pieces, I continue to wear them year after year. Speaking of that, here are some oldie, but goodie photos of some of my favorite black and white pieces in my closet, the classic work dresses, a holiday dresses, the pencil skirts, and a crop top.
For a more weekend style look, I added an off the shoulder top and black suede pumps. The skirt could also be worn to work with this scalloped top, wrap blouse or short sleeve lace blouse. I’d keep the black pumps or switch out for a heeled sandal.
This weekend I won’t be wearing this look, because we’re heading to Cape Cod to spend the weekend with Matt’s parents. They’re flying in from St. Louis and we’re going to meet them for a relaxing weekend at the Cape. Thankful for this travel guide by Grace. It’s an easy guide for us to follow, especially for a short weekend. What I’m most excited about are the lobster rolls! Last summer, Matt and I went to Kennebunkport, Maine and spent most of the weekend eating lobster rolls at The Claw Shack. Good time.
Hope you have a good weekend!
