This sounds like a broad category but it’s one of those things where you’ll know it when you see it. It’s the kind of sweater that makes you stop scrolling and hit add to cart. You want to look for a sweater with a twist. This can be the cut, a pattern, even sequins. While this won’t be an everyday kind of sweater, it’s definitely one worth having.

Oversized

Is there anything better than an oversized sweater on a cold day? It’s a cozy look that adds an interesting element to your typical sweater based look. My only note here would be to be mindful of the sizing of the sweater. Oversized is great but when a sweater is too big it can become unflattering. There’s a balance but overall this is a pretty easy style to wear.

Cashmere

Cashmere is a classic closet staple. It ranks right up there with a little black dress. If you don’t already own a cashmere sweater, you should consider picking one up. I enjoy the mix of fitted and oversized off the shoulder sweaters. There’s something to be said about both of these fits. One is sleek and the other offers some of the same things the oversized sweater look has with the benefits of showing a bit of shoulder. When you wear the oversized style, you can also adjust how much you’re showing which is really helpful too.
