Picnic in the Park
In light of National Picnic Day, I thought it was appropriate to post last weekend’s picnic photos in Central Park. During the summer, you can find me, Matt and Batman riding around Manhattan. One of our favorite places in the city to visit is Central Park. That morning, we packed up Batman’s trailer, hooked it up to Matt’s bike and made our way North! We got to our spot near the lake around 8am, so all the dogs were off their leashes (they have off leash hours till 9am). As you can see in the photos, Batman is a little preoccupied watching the other pups.
The summer time is the perfect time to stock up on fresh berries, so we loaded up on fresh fruit, spreads, cheese and a french baguette. I picked up the picnic gear from World Market and Create & Barrel. The picnic basket comes with two wine glasses, cutting board, wine opener and butter knife (here’s a similar set here and here for 4ppl). I added the red containers, plates, utensils and milk bottles. If you want a picnic blanket for the upcoming holiday, I highly recommend this one from Create & Barrel. The colors are gorgeous, but it’s practical when you’re heading to the park or beach. The bottom layer of the blanket is coated with a thick plastic, making it easy to cleanup and not allowing water to seep through.
Here’s everything we had at the picnic:
That is one cute puppy!
