How to Style a Jumpsuit for Work
We all know wearing black or navy to trousers to work every day gets boring… really fast. Here’s an easy way to style one of your favorite summer pieces to the office. This jumpsuit is from Revolve and made by Enza Costa, currently sold out but linked similar jumpsuits below. There are a few tricks to wearing a jumpsuit to the office, be conscious of the fit and color. You’ll want a more tailored look for a work appropriate jumpsuit. If it’s too long, make a trip to the tailor, it will be worth it. You also want to make sure it’s not too tight, I opted for a jumpsuit with a drawstring waistline, this still gives me a definition but nothing too formfitting. The other thing you have to think about, which seems obvious, is the color and pattern. If you work in a more corporate setting, stick with a solid color (imagine wearing this pink jumpsuit with a fitted blazer?). For those in more casual workplaces, try something new like a denim jumpsuit or polka dot jumpsuit. I also love the idea of wearing a white tee under a jumpsuit, similar to this look from Shopbop.
I completed the look with my favorite white fitted blazer, a pendant necklace, and a Timex watch. As we know, adding a blazer can make almost anything look “work ready”. Since I wanted to wear open sandals, I added the pendant necklace to balance out the look for corporate style. Every 9-to-5 girl needs to be punctual, so the watch is always a necessity.
