The hype around trousers is back this season and rightly so. While denim has been on trend lately, trousers are a great change of pace. Plus, it’s nice to break away from everyday denim and mix in some new prints and patterns. A good pair of trousers or two should be a staple in your wardrobe. They are perfect to mix and match and you’re able to go from business attire to casual with no problem. This season, there are a few trouser trends that stuck out to me and got me excited to start putting together outfits.

High Waist Trousers

For sure the easiest fashion item to wear because they’re perfect to enhance every shape: the accent on the waist will make every silhouette slimmer, but their loose fit will add some volume to the thinner ones. And they’re also perfect for every moment of the day, from formal occasions to fun ones. For spring 2018 high-waisted trousers are reimagined in a range of neutrals, soft pastels, and other colors you’ll want to wear over and over and over again.

Belted Trousers

I love the look of belted trousers. Something about the knot or slash in the front that just looks effortlessly classic. You can spice the belt up with an oversized belt buckle or wear your latest waist bag. **Fanny packs are back in too. Who would have thought they would make a comeback so fast?!

Trouser Suits

I am a sucker for a great suit. The reason I love suits so much is that I can create different outfits depending on the occasion. When it gets warm you leave the jacket at home and pair it with a gorgeous blouse that emphasizes your trousers. Pinstripes, oversized buttons and wide-legged are in play and look amazing when you get creative. If you want to stay simple, that’s great too. Simple and classic is a good thing too!
