The Check In
My last Check In was during our trip to Bermuda and now we’re at the start of another New York Fashion Week. It feels good to be home for this Check In, especially during such an exciting time. I still remember my first show and it’s such a privilege to be asked to attend shows. It’s also fun to be able to catch up with out of town friends while we soak up all of the amazing talent and creativity.
Musings
Speaking of NYFW, even if you aren’t going to be attending the shows there are still plenty of events that you can attend or check out. There’s a great list of public events here. I will definitely be grabbing that cup of coffee! The best part about that one is that it goes until September 20th!
For those who are curious, here is the official NYFW schedule. The site has a lot of great features including a list of all of the designers with background information on each. You can even watch shows live through the site.
I have been so humbled and thrilled by your response to the Corporate Catwalk post. There have been so many new developments and I can’t wait to share them with you. Don’t forget to the follow the Corporate Catwalk Instagram account for all of the sneak peaks and big announcements that will be on the way over the next few months. This was an important lesson for me. You just have to put it out there and go for it.
If you’ve ever been curious about my list of wants vs needs you can check out this fun interview I did with Quiddity here.

Yesterday, Chriselle Lim finally let us have a look at her stand-alone collection. After tons of teasers on Instagram, I was definitely looking forward to this. I can’t wait to pick up a few pieces. Congrats Chriselle!
Anyone living in the area knows weather this time of year can be a bit moody. September has us all ready for fall but the weather doesn’t always cooperate. Here are some great ideas for transitional outfits to get us through the highs and lows of September weather.
How amazing is this shoot with some of my favorite NYC bloggers? They all look stunning and I’ve decided walking the streets of New York in a gown needs to be a thing more often.
I love a good DIY and Kathleen gives a great tutorial on how to distress your own denim.
Here’s to a great weekend, everyone!
