The Tweed Set on Trend for Spring
Hope everyone enjoyed your weekend! We are now in preparation mode for our upcoming trip to Stockholm. We just got done ironing out our agenda, along with the outfits. One thing that we’ve found that makes for a better trip is to fully plan it out. Sebastian is a joy to travel with but he’s a lot of work. (Here are some travel tips with him.) We’ve found that preparation is the best way to keep everyone on track. Stockholm will be our second trip where we planned out a full agenda. So Cartagena was our first, and we will see if Sweden goes as planned. Fingers crossed! Now on to fashion…
Tweed
One of the biggest trends this season is the matching suit set, which makes shopping easy for the 9 to 5 woman! When I saw this particular look at Mango, I knew I needed to at least try it on. Both the skirt and blazer have already been worn a few times. I especially love the length of the skirt. The asymmetrical shape is a good alternative to the trendy mini skirt. It’s been tough for me to embrace shorter skirts but the slightly longer front has me feeling better and more confident about this set, although I am thinking about picking up this skirt and longer jacket.

Love this tweed , slightly Chanel-ish look . I’m slightly concerned about the unfinished hem . I think it may not wear well . But darling that comes from my years sewing .Have a great trip !

I am obsessed with the black straw handbag. Is it out of stock?
Omg I used to pass by that shop all the time in NYC. Lovely backdrop for photos!
I love tweed, and I find that a) tweed skirts last forever and 2) they never wrinkle! Such a great combo 🙂
love that jacket and the bag!
That’s an interesting article about outfits, thanks for the great share Olivia. As a business traveller, I felt that a good tailored outfit makes me more confident to approach, and I do like your other article. Keep up the good work.
I’ll need to check out that italian restaurant when I’m in NYC
