Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! In my newsletter last week, I shared five easy travel outfits for your next flight to pull from your closet and I got quite a few questions. Each piece in my outfits was something I already had in my closet. Nothing new. I wanted to show you how you can always repurpose different pieces in your wardrobe. I hope it inspired you to take a second glance into your closet.
Here are five easy looks for you to recreate on your next trip and remember to always dress with purpose. Have fun with it!
On Vacation: Everyday Style
Here’s an easy look to wear to the airport. A t-shirt and jeans can be dressed up and still look chic with a lightweight jacket and boots. I love to wear a comfy pair of booties, especially for quick trips!
Red-Eye Flight: Work-Ready
Boarding at 9pm and arriving at 7am? Here’s a look that will keep you looking good at the airport, while being comfortable on the flight. If you’re heading into work upon arrival, change out your shoes and you’re ready for a day of meetings.
Traveling Overseas: Comfort
For those extra long trips, grab your favorite sweatshirt and sneakers. Comfort is king for these flights. Long flights always seem to get a little cold, so the extra layer of clothes will keep you warm and asleep 🙂
Hometown Visit: Loungewear
Heading back for your best friend’s wedding and your parents are picking you up from the airport? This might be the look for you. Stay comfortable in a pair of sweats, because we all know you’ll be lounging around your parents house while enjoying some home cooked meals!
On a Work Trip: Business Casual
Heading on a business trip? Here’s an easy look to recreate. When traveling for work, I’d recommend leaving the sweats at home and throwing on a business casual outfit. There’s nothing worse than running into your Director or VP, who likely dresses up when on a flight.
You can also pin these five looks below on your Pinterest board. So this is an easy way to reference the looks for the future.
What’s your favorite look to wear while traveling? Love getting new ideas for our new trip…which looks like it will be Kansas City and then Colombia!!
Great travel looks ! Years and years ago people would dress up to travel. I would like to see us elevate the experience again, starting with our attire . Comfort and style do not need to be mutually exclusive.
