Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away. Each year looks a little different for plans. Some years we do something big and others, it’s just a quiet night in. It’s a good time to take a day and show some extra appreciation to your loved ones. Sometimes we get so caught up in the day to day that these types of holidays serve as a good reminder. It’s also fun to get a little dressed up and have a nice dinner together and reconnect. Red is the traditional color for the day. However, for the sake of being a little different, here are some Valentine’s Day outfits that aren’t all about red.
Lace can be delicate but it’s also refined and can make a statement. You can get it in a multitude of colors. Whether you’re wearing a dress, top or skirt, lace adds a feminine touch to any outfit. It makes the perfect material for any Valentine’s outfit.
This is probably my favorite length for skirts. It’s versatile and can be worn for just about any occasion. It can be flirty and sophisticated all at the same time. This is a great option for daytime looks or if you need to easily transition between day and night.
Little Black Dress
This is a closet classic for a reason. It’s appropriate for so many occasions but the right little black dress in your wardrobe is an instant confidence booster. You should be able to slip it on and feel amazing. This is the perfect choice for any last minute Valentine’s Day plans.
Jumpsuits are a personal favorite of mine. They tend to make a statement. Everyone can find a cut and style that suits and flatters them. I recommend everyone get a jumpsuit that they feel amazing in for special occasions as a substitute for a dress. They’re a great alternative when “dressing up.”
