6 Outfits to Wear During the Holidays

One of my favorite things about this time of year is all of the holiday fashion. The colors, the fabrics, and let’s be honest the sparkle factor make getting dressed a little more fun. It’s also a really busy time of year and sometimes that involves some last minute outfit planning. If you are in need of a little fashion inspiration here are 6 holiday outfits.

Jewel Tones

We all know the traditional Christmas colors but jewel tones are just as beautiful this time of year. They offer something a little more unexpected than the sea of red and green. Opt for rich purples or blues instead. Don’t be afraid to stand out a little. I’d also recommend picking rich fabrics like silk, satin, or even cashmere to enhance the effects of the jewel tone colors.

Monochromatic

Monochromatic is a polished look to put together whether it’s at work or for a party. I love choosing what I call holiday neutrals. These are subtle shades of gold and silver like you find with metallic knits. They’re festive without being overdone. It transitions well from day to night. Formal Dress

One of the best parts of holiday fashion is the chance to dress up. There aren’t too many occasions during the rest of the year that call for a full-length dress so when you get the chance to wear one, make it a good one. I opted for a black dress with some interesting details. I added a bit of sparkle with my accessories.

Cozy & Luxe

Mixing two different types of fabrics adds an interesting dimension to an outfit. Pairing something cozy with a more luxurious fabric like satin or silk is one of my favorite pairings. It’s just dressed up enough for most events. Plus, who doesn’t love to wear a cozy sweater?

Little Black Dress

The little black dress is a classic for a reason. Chances are you probably already have one in your closet. You should utilize it. Try picking out a new piece of jewelry or shoes to mix it up a little this holiday season. If you don’t have one or feel like you need to invest in a new one, here are some great options below.

Casual Comfort

Let’s be honest, for a lot of people, this is one of the busiest times of years. There’s parties, shopping, and plenty of year-end events. Sometimes you just want to be comfortable. I like pairing a good jacket with some jeans and heels. Right now I’m really loving faux fur and teddy style jackets.
