The Holidays Are Almost Here!
I just had an exciting meeting with my team. We’re planning content for the holiday season including our gift guide! We published it here but our newsletter subscribers were able to see it first. I loved your holiday gift guide from last year! I like the layout and how easy it was to read/ skim through it. For me the hardest to shop are my teen nieces and nephews or my mother in law. Can’t wait to see this year’s guide ?

Love it, Olivia! The “traveler” gift section will be referenced by me a few times this season. My only feedback:
1. For the dads who need/want nothing, a practical gift is the most likely to not be returned. Or a book! I try to get him something I know he won’t be able to live without once he knows it exists (like a sump pump alarm!)
2. I wish the corporate girl options weren’t focused on looking great while climbing the ladder. Its definitely nice to feel pretty but that’s not what matters in the office – it’s being a smart, well-spoken, good-at-her job badass. There are books that would fit in great here, or a gift card to soul cycle to vent off stress because the days are LONG! 🙂 if anything, though, it’s the way climbing the ladder is framed for women that bothers me more than any of the gifts. I love the options regardless.

So excited for this upcoming holiday season! I loved your gift guide last year and honestly, I would be happy if it was this same format. I loved how interactive it was and it felt like I was flipping through a magazine. It made it more personal and gave me lots of ideas. The only thing I would add is the price for that items you have listed in the guide. It would also be nice if you had a segment for gifts at every price point. Overall, I enjoy your gift guides and know you’ll make another great one! I look forward to it!
OMG I remember last year being so desperate trying to find a gift for my future father in law when I saw your post of Marks & Spencer and right when I spot the Manhattan toolset I knew was perfect for him!! This year I’m trying to figure out what to get him so I’ll definetly love to see more “gifts for him”!!! I think man gifts are always the hardest on our list but I would love to see more hair and skin products for woman’s too!! I love your hair and I always watch your hair tutorials on insta and try some of the products. My good friend was in bed rest because high risk pregnancy and I thought that I could help her make feel pretty! So I got her the dove dry shampoo y the oribe texturizing spray, put it in a nice basket and she loved it! It was so meaningful to her and didn’t have to worry to put herself and the baby in danger by staying out of bed for too long and the products made her feel like million bucks! I’m getting the oribe spray for my mother in law because she always complaining about her hair and looking to add something else! And for my sisters in law I already got few things from Misoma, so I just need to get stuff for my brother in law and fiancé! Thank you for your posts, I also love that you always post things that real humans can actually afford! And Sebastian is the cutest!!! Looking forward to see this year gift guide!!
I didn’t see this last year but I love this flyer style layout! I’d love to see more stuff for moms to be, home bodies & a stand alone section on home stuff (coffee/espresso makers, blankets, etc).
