What I Wore in Cartagena
Cartagena is beautiful, vibrant and colorful. The city has such character to it. When I was packing for the trip I made sure to bring along some of my favorite pieces but I also decided to be a little more adventurous. The city is the perfect backdrop for clothes you may have felt out-of-place in elsewhere. Traveling is the perfect time to experiment with new colors, patterns or styles. Step outside of your comfort zone a little and have fun with your wardrobe. I loved getting dressed up and embracing my bolder side in this charming city. Here are the outfits I wore on my trip.
The two piece set from above is by PatBo. Right now there’s no place to link, but here’s the same print in a bathing suit.
The high-waisted Tularosa swimsuit is the best for us moms! It covers and also gives us a waistline. The suit in this color is sold out, but linked similar styles below. Also the two piece set is from PatBo for their upcoming collection.
Try Something New
There’s something really fun about wearing a bold piece out. These aren’t things I would typically wear back home but they were perfect here. I felt amazing in them. Don’t be afraid to try something new. If you can’t find anything prior to your trip, you can always carve out a little shopping time when you get there.
What’s your favorite look on the trip? Would love to hear some of the places you’re traveling this year and what type of pieces you’re looking to pack. For all of the moms out there, don’t forget to check out my post on toddler traveling essentials.
Love your outfits, the trip, destination, beautiful!I’m inspired to try something bolder on my next trip/vacation! I’m ready for summer!
Love your pics! My husband and I visited Cartagena a couple of years ago and we loved it! I also recommend you to visit San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is a similar concept to Cartagena with an old city and a new city, it is marvelous as well.
I love all your outfits! And your family is beautiful!
I love this post , the colors, the patterns and the amazing shots !
You said you would not dress like this back home, please do . We need more color in our lives !
Dress The Part
Your outfits AND the photography are both simply stunning!
I know exactly what you’re saying about dressing outside of your comfort zone while on vacation. I leave for Italy in 4 days and the majority of the trip I’ll be by myself. I bought some things for the trip that I would not normally wear at home.
