Our Snow Day to the Whitney Museum

Matt and I decided on finally going to the Whitney Museum down in the Meatpacking District during a snow day. It was cold but not bad at all actually for snow. We have been meaning to go here for four years and I’m so glad we decided to make it happen. They have super interesting exhibits, great views of the city and the neatest little bookstore in front. We shot a little video, snapped some pics and just enjoyed each other’s company. Going to need to make this happen more often.

Dress for the Day

I decided to wear this two-piece set, that looks a lot like a dress with a belt. Funny enough, it reminded me of the one I wore in Como, Italy a few months back. I wore it with my black booties, which are a staple in my winter wardrobe. I got to wear my new black mini bag by DVF, thank you Stitch Fix for sending this in my recent Fix (you can see my review here on Stitch Fix). You know I love my hats, thought the off-white beret would give me a little artsy look so it was fitting for the afternoon. Lots of questions about my coat, it’s from Veronica Beard, last season (also worn here).  Really liked how the outfit came together as I had no idea what I was going to wear until I just started putting pieces together and this seemed to work best for our afternoon in the city.

Thank you so much for following along! I hope you like the video. It only seemed necessary to put a little creativity into our “museum” date.

  1. Too cute! I didn’t realize it was a date day. So fun – and I loved the vlog and the music was perfect! We definitely need to check out that museum the next we are in NYC and it’s in such a fun neighborhood.
