Today we’re off to Turks and Caicos for a family getaway. Sebastian is one lucky kid. He’s gone on quite a few trips already. At this point, we have our travel essentials with him down. I love being able to take him along with us. He almost has a full year of traveling under his belt. I want him to grow up with the travel bug. I hope he always loves to explore and experience new things. So here’s a look back at our adventures so far.

Playa Del Carmen

Our very first family trip was to Playa Del Carmen. This trip is special to me for a number of reasons. It was, of course, our first trip after Sebastian was born. Matt and I got married there. We stayed at the same resort our friends and family stayed in for our wedding. It all felt really special. It felt like the right time, the right place, and it will be one of those memories that will stand out for years to come.

Florida

We love a good beach vacation. For our next trip, we headed south to Florida. We split the trip into two with a stop in Clearwater and then we went to Sarasota. Beach trips are perfect family trips. There’s something for everyone. The adults are able to relax and kids love the sand the ocean. We were able to visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium made famous by the movie Dolphin Tale. In Sarasota, we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton. We enjoyed the food, the spa, and more beach time.

Kennebunkport, Maine

Can you tell we’re definitely ocean people? This trip was a quick weekend getaway. It was about a 5-hour drive from NYC. It’s a quaint little New England town. We were even able to bring Batman along for the fun. Maine isn’t the first place that pops into people’s minds when thinking of beach trips but it really is beautiful here. It’s charming with beautiful scenery, walkable downtown, and great food.
