Effortless Style at the Office

With the holiday season over and the days getting shorter and colder, it’s hard to leave a warm comfortable bed. As a result, this can be a tricky time of year for your morning routine. Sometimes you just need some easy but stylish go to options for when your morning just seems to get away from you. I’ve put together three different effortless looks for various office settings that will have you looking and feeling great.

Look 1

This sweater with lace detail by Sezane is actually currently sold out but rather than leave it out I’m still going to include it and advise you sign up for an alert when it’s back in stock because it’s just that good. Sezane has great knitwear options and I’d recommend this sweater with a bow detail to recreate this look. A polka dot print skirt is a wardrobe classic. Yoox has two with this knee-length option and another slightly longer one. The Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag is available in this larger size and a smaller size as well. This watch by Cluse is a great option for the office. It’s a great everyday classic timepiece.

Look 2

This is definitely for a more casual office setting or for those workplaces that allow denim on Fridays. The long cardigan is both cozy and lightweight. If you’re looking for something slightly heavier Halogen also makes anotherĀ style in a thicker material. This silk camisole from Sezane is the perfect delicate layering piece. A darker wash denim like these or these by AG add to the cool laid back vibe of this look. Finally, to dress up the look a bit I went with a classic black heel by Manolo Blahnik. This seems like too much of an investment but I promise you, they’re worth it. You’ll see them with the next three looks.

Look 3

Finally, this is all about the sweater together with the pant look and I decided to go with three variations that would accommodate both personal taste and office settings. However, going back to basics doesn’t have to be boring. I picked pieces with interesting details, patterns, and fits. What I really love about all of these pieces is that they’re interchangeable. You can mix and match these sweaters and pants to create a number of looks and get more mileage out of your wardrobe budget.

All of these sweaters can be found at Nordstrom. Nordstrom is always a great option for workwear. They’ve also expanded their rewards program beyond their credit card holders. The first sweater is an oversized cowl sweater by Michael Kors. The second is a puff sleeve sweater by Topshop and the third is a tunic style by BP.

For pants, there’s some good variety here. The first pair of pants is from Mango with a subtle plaid pattern. You all know how much I love J.Crew. The second pair is a great classic pant that’s available in petite, regular, and tall. The last one is from White House Black Market and is a comfortable workwear option. These can be dressed up for the office or down for the weekend.

You can’t forget the finishing touches. I like to invest in a work bag and use it for years. This Chanel bag is a bit of a splurge but worth it. If you’re not ready to take the plunge on that one, Mark & Graham has some great options like this Caroline bag.

All of these are great pieces to incorporate for effortless style and will hopefully make getting out the door in the morning this winter a lot easier.
