Blurring the Lines, My New Skincare Challenge

I never gave too much thought to my skincare routine when I was younger. As I get older, I reflect back and wish I had taken better care of my skin. So for all of those that think this doesn’t apply to you, it does. Follow along and you may just thank me in 10 years. 🙂 For those of us that are already starting to see the effects of aging, it’s not too late to try something new.

Time to Commit

As 2017 comes to an end, like so many of us, I’m already thinking of ways to better myself in 2018. It’s been quite the ride both professionally and personally. However, with Sebastian and the business, I haven’t always taken time for myself and that includes a dedicated, sound skincare routine. That’s going to change. I’ve decided to start small and add a supplement every day for three months to my morning routine. Along the way, I’ll be tracking my progress and the results here on the blog.

New Regime

I’ve partnered with jane iredale on this skincare journey and it wasn’t until we began talking that I realized this was exactly what I needed. They use high-quality ingredients with a clear commitment to improving your skin. The first step was a quiz. It was a painless 6 question quiz used to determine which formula is best for your individual needs. You can take it here. I really like that they avoid the one size fits all approach.

Based on my results, I’m taking the Skin Complete regimen, which includes Skin Antioxidant and the Skin Vitamin A. These are a part of The Skincare Supplements line. These supplements are the Feed portion of jane iredale’s Feed, Fortify, Finish holistic approach to beauty.  Feed your skin with The Skincare Supplements, fortify your skin with clean, effective skincare, and finish your look with high-performing mineral cosmetics that provide effective skin care benefits as they finish your look with modern, wearable color and a soft-focus, luminous effect that brings your natural beauty to light.

As a working mom, I’m on the go a lot. There are many days that I find myself making a meal out of Sebastian’s goldfish (why do kids get the best snacks?). It’s tough to make time for yourself but I am committed to not only improving my skin but re-dedicating myself to a stricter diet and getting back to my regular gym routine. I’m really excited to be kicking this off and getting my youthful skin back! Remember, it won’t matter how many creams or serums you apply if the foundation to your skin’s health isn’t there.

So bottoms up. Here’s to healthy, radiant skin in 2018. Be sure to keep an eye out for future posts documenting my progress and results. Glad you are coming along with me!

Yes! Skirt is from Marks & Spencer, currently sold out and the top is from Sezane (but I think it’s also sold out).
