I receive a lot of questions about my beauty routine and the products I use. Today I thought I’d share my current makeup favorites. These products are my go-to items in my beauty lineup. I use them for everyday looks and for special occasions like last night at the Bloomberg 50 Gala.
This setting powder by Laura Mercier is really popular. It had such great reviews that I decided to try it. I was not disappointed. It’s great for normal to oily skin and keeps my makeup looking great. If you’re looking for some other great options, I also love the setting powder by IT cosmetics. The powder is packed with anti-aging ingredients. Urban Decay offers a great vegan option as well.
This Bobbi Brown lip color is my favorite. It’s a classic red that adds a great pop of color to my makeup look. It’s easy to apply and has a creamy matte finish. The chunky pencil design makes it simple to apply on the go. It’s always in my purse. It goes everywhere with me.
A highlighter is the perfect way to get that coveted lit from within glow. I’m currently using a newer one on the market. I love it. It’s Becca’s highlighter. It gives a nice buildable glow. If you’re not quite ready to completely commit on this one, there’s a mini size available. I’ve found that a fan brush is the best way to apply highlighter.
For foundation, I really like the Make Up Forever foundation stick. It has amazing coverage with a quick application which is important for an on the go lifestyle. It gives my skin that perfect dewy finish. I also recently tried the Kat Von D foundation after a recommendation during a trip to Sephora. I was told it had good coverage so I gave it a try. It’s a good foundation option but I still prefer my foundation stick.
Brushes are an important tool in your makeup arsenal. They improve the application process and enhance the product features. I’m a fan of the Sigma brushes. They’re an investment but the quality is great. They’re designed to give a streak free finish and avoid product absorption. This brush has been amazing for applying foundation. Eco Tool brushes are also a great option for an everyday brush. They’re a bit more economical than Sigma.
For eyeliner, Kat Von D is my favorite option. It’s the best! I just got the waterproof liner and it’s perfect for those long days. This liner helps me achieve the winged eyeliner look. I’ve been using this product for almost 2 years now. To complete my look, I use a mascara by IT cosmetics. Its brush is amazing at getting my lash line and covering my bottom lashes. My lashes definitely look fuller after applying and perfectly compliment my winged eyeliner.
I hope you found some new favorites. What products do you love? I love to try new things and get recommendations.
