5 Beauty Products for Glowing Skin this Fall

Fall is the perfect time to freshen up your beauty routine. The weather is becoming cooler and the air a little drier. As we say goodbye to bronze skin and beachy waves, we start adding deeper shades of lip and nail color to our beauty lineup. It also means introducing heavier creams and moisturizers to our routine.

If you’re one of the lucky ones dealing with dry skin year round, you know when winter comes it means business. In my book, there’s no such thing as too many hand creams, lotions, and body oils. While most of our skin is easy to cover up and ignore during the colder months our faces are harder to hide. When we lose that soft and lustrous skin which is a benefit of summer, it’s harder to fake that glow with makeup when the skin underneath is flaky. Fortunately, there are products that can help us.

HERE ARE 5 BEAUTY PRODUCTS TO GET GLOWING SKIN THIS FALL:

Face Cleaners

I’ve been using the TULA face cleanser for almost two months now. As someone with dry skin, I typically like to use an oil based cleanser, but I wanted to give this one a try. I love the other products in the TULA line, like the illuminating serum, so I’d figure I’d give this one a go. Well, it didn’t disappoint. I love that the cleanser doesn’t strip my face of all the natural oils. It removes all the dirt, make-up and other impurities, without leaving my face feeling dry.

I love my Clarsonic cleanser as well. I’ll use it every few days with the TULA cleanser. It just leaves my face feeling bright and refreshed. Use code CATWALKHOLIDAY for 20% off the entire TULA store.

Sheet Masks

There are some days that my skin needs more TLC than others. On those days, I grab for a sheet mask, lay down, relax and catch-up on news before heading off to bed. The Peter Thomas Roth is currently my favorite, but when it comes to sheet masks, I don’t have a huge preference on the brand. The masks give an extra boost of moisturizer and serum that helps to rejuvenate my skin, especially now during these Fall/Winter months.

Oil & Serums

I LOVE oils, but I’m someone with extremely dry skin, so my skin soaks up any product within minutes of applying. Now, I’ve talked to quite a few people who say oils create acne and other blemishes for them. You already know this but be sure and test out a small sample before taking the plunge into a particular beauty oil.

Squalane oils are a personal favorite. It helps brighten and nourish my skin without leaving my face too oily.  Lately, I’ve been using the Squalane oil by Indie Lee.  So far, I like the texture of the oil and the way it leaves my skin feeling hydrated.

Hyaluronic serum is something else that I use daily on my skin. It helps keep my skin looking plump and refreshed. The H.A. Intensifier from SkinCeuticals is a personal favorite, but I also love this H.A. serum from Pestle & Mortal.

Heavy Moisturizer

For years, I’ve been using First Aid Beauty in my skin routine, but this is the very first time I have tried the 5 in 1 Face Cream by First Aid Beauty. Wow, I’ve been missing out! Again, I have extremely dry skin. This stuff is a miracle worker. It leaves the skin feeling perfectly hydrated, bright and nourished. The cream is heavier and a little oiler than my other creams, but I absolutely love it. It’s exactly what I need this time of year when the air starts drying out my skin. If I just want a little moisturizer on my skin, I apply a thin coat to my clean hands, rub my hands together and then lightly pat down my skin.

The cream also has SPF 30, so you have some protection in the sun as well!

Highlighters

When it comes to highlighters, there are so many types for you to choose from. Currently, two of my favorites are the foundation mix-in highlighter by UrbanDecay and the Tart Pro Glow Highlight & Contour palette. The mix-in highlighter gives my skin a little extra glow. It  brightens and gives my face a more even complexion and that “natural” glow look. The palette allows for me to use a variety of highlights throughout the week to help brighten up my cheekbones. Love it!

Would love to hear what you are using to battle the elements this season. There is so much out there to choose from and you can never have enough recommendations. Hope you got a few good ideas from today and thanks for reading!
