6 Fall Fashion Trends from NYFW

Excited to partner with Marks & Spencer to usher in the fall season. There were so many great trends that came out of NYFW and I detailed six of the ones I’m looking forward to the most. One of my all-time favorite autumn pieces is the classic tan trench. It just shouts fallen leaves, a chilly breeze and trekking through a blanket of fog in the city. If you aren’t yet familiar with Marks & Spencer, they are ambassadors of British Style and champions to my amazing new trench! It’s such a classic piece and an icon of the season. A trench, great denim, booties and a great bag is all you need for a perfect seasonal look. Love a good black tee underneath as well. Fall is absolutely my favorite season. We get to begin layering (see turtlenecks below), swapping out our jeans drawer, getting out our knit sweaters and eating anything pumpkin. 🙂

Marks & Spencer has all the latest trends including the ones below along with all the classic pieces we wear season after season. The great news is that many of the trends are hitting their third and fourth season, which is amazing. Break out those staple pieces and complement with some trendy pieces and any refreshes on those knits and denim.

Six Fall Fashion Trends from NYFW

Moody Florals

A seamless transition between seasons. Just because the bouquets darken up a bit in the fall, they are still going strong and well represented up and down the runway. The designers switched up the color palette from the traditional fall browns and reds and introduced more deep blues, purples and pinks.

Zip-Ups

Continuing it’s rise, athleisure is still and will remain on trend even as the temperatures begin to drop. It seemed as thought the designers reached back into the ’80’s for the ski-inspired looks. The high, zip-up necklines are really cute and they put them on everything from parkas to tank tops and minidresses.

Boxy Silhouettes

A practical was to head into fall. Even though the feathered mini-dresses and over-the-top gowns were aplenty, the workwear inspired silhouettes resonated best for the season. Everything from denim, silky sets and boiler suits were present.

Sheer Layering

Turtlenecks. Worn abound and under everything from luxurious midis, sculptural minidresses and extra long button ups. I adore the turtleneck under a crisp white button down. It’s trendy on the men’s side of the house as well. I’m going to pick Matt up a couple t-necks as well.

Pale Pink

No more “millennial pink” this season. Instead, it’s pale pink that is taking over. As I’ve written previously, this color hue can be worn to the office and of course after hours. Pink should always be in. It’s simply too beautiful to go away in all forms. its toned-down sibling, pale pink.

Grey Suiting

Love a good suit. Grey always looks good when it comes to suit pieces. Deconstructed blazers, perfectly tailored trousers, and gray pin -stripes all made appearances and looked fantastic. Can’t wait to update with a crisp suit this fall.

Let me know what else you picked up on or a trend you are super excited to wear this season. Happy Shopping!
