Wearing Black From Summer Into Fall
My closet is quickly filling up with more black pieces to transition into fall. It’s such a New York cliche to wear black all the time, but sometime it feels like the easiest thing to do. This dress is a little more tailored to certain occasions but black is really easy to pull off regardless of season or occasion. During the summer, at least for me, my blacks tend to get pushed to the back in favor of lighter tones and floral dresses. However, their is always room for black and the key is to accessorize to give it warmth and intrigue. I love the lace detail in this dress and it’s a definite statement piece for more formal events.
Now that the transition to fall has all but arrived, the black jeans begin to come out again, black tops, blouses, skirts, etc. Particularly in the fall months, a fedora or brim hat goes great. I love accessorizing with gold jewelry. It provides that touch of class and shine. It can be understated too dependent on if you are wearing a more formal dress or simply a cute pair of black jeans and t-shirt. The good thing about black is it’s always in season, so don’t be worried about timing or occasion.
Sizing
The dress fits true to size. I typically wear a size xs, but decided to get an size small for a looser fit.
Dresses to Transition from Summer to Fall
The common theme across all fashion trends, wear what you like and what you feel comfortable in at that particular time. Have fun and as always, let me know any cute pieces you are finding out there.
Have a great finish to your week!
