Shopping has alway been an activity that I have shared with my Mom and closest friends. I can remember when I was a little girl back in Kansas City, my mom would always take me with her to go shopping at the mall. Remember when malls use to be the go to place?! I would watch my mom so closely as she tested out makeup, spritzed the perfume, and tried on dresses. It was so exciting to be there with with all the clothes and bright lights. She would take me to the kids area and I got pick out clothes. Afterwards we went down to the food court and got a coke and something sweet to eat. There was nothing like it for me. Hanging out with Mom and doing big girl stuff was so much fun.

Shopping has continued to be something she and I still share together. Whenever I go back home, we will head out and shop. She comes to New York a couple times a year and we head out shopping. Our favorite store has to be Lord & Taylor. It reminds us both so much of when I was little. Lots of great clothes and tons to see and do. When there is a sale we are always on top of it.
