Hopefully the last winter storm is behind us. We can now start thinking about long walks on the beach and piña coladas! Since I’m still working on my beach body, my suitcase was filled with an array of different one-piece swim suits. I’ve never personally been a fan of one-piece suits. I had always found them boring and unflattering to my body. Little did I know, I just needed to find ones that actually fit my shape. It also helps to add a few amazing accessories to spice up the look! Today I’m sharing five accessories to add to your closet for you next warm weather vacation.

1. Earrings

I’ve never been a fan of large earrings at the beach because it just didn’t seem practical. I must say, however, they look really cute! Since I tend not to frolic in the water, adding oversized earrings makes for an ultra chic look for summer. BaubleBar being one of my favorite places for incredible accessories!

For the moms out there, tread lightly when it comes to earrings. I know kids like to grab and pull. If that’s the case, opt for something that does’t hang; like an ear cuff or colorful stud.

2. Straw Totes

Straw totes are an up and coming trend this season. Last summer, everyone had the statement totes as their beach bags. Yes, the are adorable, but also durable! The straw totes can get wet, stepped on, filled with sand and they are still in great condition and will last the entire season.

3. Mules/Slides

It’s hard to believe mules and slides are back again this season. I remember my mom wearing them all the time when I was a kid. As much as we all love flip flops, try something a little different this season, particularly if you’re not getting in the water.

4. Hats

One of the best ways to protect yourself from unwanted UV rays — a summer hat. The bigger the better! The statement hat is my favorite. It also makes for great beach photos!

5. Sunglasses

Vacation time is the perfect time to pick up a pair of “fun” sunglasses. Some of my favorite styles are silver reflective, blush pink and white. Although these are not neutrals, they work with almost ever color.
