Sebastian’s First New Year’s Eve In NYC

This year New Years Eve was quite a lot different than years past. We now have our amazing little boy, Sebastian, to celebrate with this holiday season. Our family stayed here in New York City celebrating the New Year together watching the Empire State Building’s magical light show from our living room. We typically travel overseas for New Year’s but with Sebastian’s arrival, we are waiting a few months before we take our first trip with him. I can’t wait to take him with us wherever we decide to go but it will be tropical and it will be relaxing.

How we spent our NYE

These last few weeks with Sebastian have been nothing short of amazing. Even though we stayed in for NYE, our day was so much fun. We woke up later than usual cuddling up with our baby with Batman and Pfeiffer hanging out at the foot of the bed. Matt made coffee and cooked breakfast while I got Sebastian all ready for the day. He is already growing so fast. It was so nice out so after breakfast, we headed out for a long walk around town. Even after 4 years here, it never ceases to amaze us the buzz that is everywhere in this city. On our way home, we picked up lunch to have at home while I fed Sebastian. That little guy is hungry all day everyday. I have to admit, as calm and relaxed as Sebastian is, breastfeeding has been really draining (I wouldn’t change a thing though).

To celebrate, we wanted to dress up together and snap some photos as a family. Matt and I made some cranberry champagne cocktails to toast early together. The outfit we found for Sebastian was so cute. He looks so good in a tux, like a mini James Bond! Matt is quite the chef so he cooked up some of his famous (at least in our house) pasta carbonara. It is so ridiculously good. It is inspired by one our favorite little Italian joints, Trattoria Belvedere. From the birth of Sebastian, to having my family in town for Christmas, and our celebrating NYE at home, I couldn’t have asked for a better end to a truly fantastic year.

New for 2017!

For 2017, there are a number of changes coming here on Corporate Catwalk that I want to share with you…and I’m so excited! First, we are going to be moving to a more lifestyle focused blog, where we be detailing our experiences of everyday life here in New York City. We will be sharing all things fashion, beauty, baby, home, and travel. Second, because of the shift, we will be changing the blog name and social channels to Olivia Jeanette. Third, we are completely revamping the website to create a much better experience for all of you. It will be much easier to navigate, shop, view photos, read previous posts, and more. The new site will go live late Q1.

Matt, Sebastian, Batman, and Pfeiffer and I wish you a very Happy New Year and an amazing 2017!
