Fall Favorites Inspired By My Fashion Icon

As a long time fan of Olivia Palermo, I was thrilled to hear that she partnered with Banana Republic to be the style ambassador for their fall collection. In case you missed her announcement, check it out here.

Now that it’s starting to get cooler out, I need my coats. Only problem is that they are currently in storage. Thankfully, my coats are being delivered tomorrow morning (YAY!).

In the meantime, I headed over to Banana and picked up this cropped plaid coat to keep me cozy. It’s probably overkill for the current weather, but I needed a coat and absolutely love the style and the way the coat fits my frame. I also checked out several other pieces from their fall collection and wanted to share a few of my favorites. I loved the Melton wool coat! The grey wool lining on the collar is a personal favorite. Since I already have a tan coat from Zara that’s still in good shape, I opted not to get it (at least not yet). I would certainly pick it up though, if you are in the market.

Another piece that caught my eye was this asymmetrical pleat dress. If you pair it with over the knee suede boots, it would look amazing for a night out with friends. For expecting mommas, the black turtleneck dress is a must. I highly recommend it for a growing bump! Especially if you have a long vest or cardigan to wear over it during the colder months ahead. I wore a similar look here.

In typical Olivia Palermo fashion, she created a flawless look in an all ivory ensemble. She makes the sweater and skirt look oh so good. They can easily be complemented with other pieces in your closet too. Don’t be afraid of ivory or white. It’s a great trend that works with both tans and metallics. Similar to my Valentino flats that I’m wearing here, Banana has a black pair of strappy flats that would make for a great everyday casual outfit. Very chic and comfy!

Here are a few more of my favorite pieces from the collection

One other quick share… be sure to check out my recent Instagram post. To support the National Breast Cancer Foundation, I’m sharing one of Talbot’s wrap scarves to support Breast Cancer month in October. For every scarf sold, 20% of the proceeds go to the NBCF to help provide the tools for early detection and education.

Plaid Coat

The plaid coat is the perfect staple for fall especially if you want an updated outerwear piece for your wardrobe! The coat runs large. I’m wearing a size 0 in today’s post.

Bow Blouse

The bow blouse is from Kate Spade’s Spring 2016 collection. This is a stable in my closet. Perfecting the bow has been my biggest challenge, but I use this video to teach & remind myself how to tie the perfect bow.

Black Denim

With my growing bump, these black denim jeans have been essential to my wardrobe. You can check out my latest collaboration wearing these jeans here. They run a little large …I’m wearing a size 2 in short.
