Maternity Style for the Fall Season

This past week, Matt and I traveled back to the midwest for our baby showers. It was so much fun to celebrate with our friends and family back home. We are so excited to meet the little one!! Our first stop was Matt’s hometown of St. Louis and we brought Batman with us. He was in heaven with all the open space and having a big yard to run around in all day. Matt’s family comes to visit us in New York quite often but this is the first time Batman has been back since he was a tiny, little puppy. Needless to say he got a lot of attention and loved every second! One of our favorite things about St. Louis is the Italian food! I know. I know. I live in New York and gushing about Italian food in the midwest sounds ridiculous, but they have toasted ravioli! For those who are unfamiliar, this is a staple in the STL and rarely found anywhere else. They make ravioli filled with either meat or cheese and then the ravioli is breaded and deep fried. Ravioli deep fried!?!? Umm, yes please!! There is an Italian neighborhood, called The Hill, where they have these speciality Italian grocers, and we always make a point to go down and pick-up some ravioli to bring back to New York with us. The food at the shower was amazing.  It’s very rare to get everyone together anymore. We received so many cute clothes at the shower and can’t wait to dress him up! Now, we just have to figure out where to put everything! A bigger dresser for the nursery is a must.

One of the items on our agenda, with the limited time we had, was to try and find some maternity clothes, in particular, jeans. My bump is really starting to show and it has become increasingly more difficult for me to button my jeans over my growing belly.  I have looked all over and finally found an amazing pair at Old Navy. It was so great to find jeans that fit well and also feel great. These full panel skinny jeans are perfect to fit over my growing bump.  The stretchy full panel is inside the jeans so it doesn’t show the lines underneath. You don’t lose any of the style you are used to having and the fit is on point. Old Navy has a really great collection of maternity wear for all stages of your pregnancy. I also took a peek at their baby collection and found some adorable pieces for the little one. I held off from buying anything for him right now, but I think my mom snuck back in the store and picked up these knit overalls.

Not only did I find the jeans, but I also got this adorable black moto jacket, white button down shirt, boat neck striped shirt, suede clutch and flats. As fall arrives and with my growing bump, I will be collecting even more pieces for my fall wardrobe. They check off all the boxes when it comes to style, fit, and price! If you are expecting or know someone who is, be sure to check it out!

ps. if you order online, you’ll get an additional 40% off your purchase and Maternity + Kids & Baby Sale as select items are up to 50% off. Happy Shopping!

You look amazing, Olivia! And so happy! From the front you don’t even look pregnant. Maternity dressing has come a long way since I had my last baby 25 yrs ago.
