Over the last year, the lingerie trend has been seen on some of our favorite celebrities and bloggers, everything from corsets to pajama sets. One of my favorite pieces from this trend is the sexy and sleek slip dress. The slip dress is easy for someone like me to wear who has a closet full of workwear pieces and can be worn with almost anything. The big question is…how can the corporate women integrate this new trend into our after-hour looks, while still maintaining a sophisticated appeal? Here are three ways to wear a slip dress with pieces from your personal workwear collection.

Work Blazer

Every corporate woman has their favorite work blazer. I certainly do! It is my never fail, black blazer. In this look, I chose a grey blazer because it works really well with the slip. With the grey blazer that I’m wearing here, I simply added a petite neck scarf. It adds that little piece of casual to complete the the look. The simplicity for this outfit is a great and it’s the perfect mix between feminine and masculine. You can have fun with this by adding a different color blazer or choosing a different pattern for your scarf. You really can’t go wrong here.

 

Everyday White Blouse

One of my favorite ways to wear the slip dress is by adding an everyday white blouse. Typically, I’ll wear my white blouses under blazers and cardigans. This bow blouse is a piece I have worn a number of times this year. I love the stylish wrinkle the bow gives whatever outfit you put together with the blouse. It’s different and stylish. As the weather starts to cool down, of course, switch out your short sleeve tops for three quarter length and long sleeve blouses. Get creative! Even with the colors. You’ll be surprised what looks good under this dress!

Casual Cardigan

Friday outfits are fun to put together and we all have our favorite pieces for those more casual days at the office. Dark denim, a vest, and an oversized cardigan are at the top my list. For today, I chose my tan oversized cardigan. I love how versatile it is and it’s ability to be mixed and matched without losing any appeal. Pair it with some fun heels, some statement earrings and you are ready for a night out with friends. As chic as it looks here, it is also great to run errands in the city. Simply switch out your sexy heels for sandals or sneakers and you’re ready to hit all you favorite stores!
