Three Dresses for the Summer with Rent the Runway
I love Rent the Runway! As I scroll through their site to look for the links to all these dresses, I always find other dresses I’d love to wear to both casual and formal occasions. I’m probably late to the party on this, but I love that they’ve started to incorporate an assortment of dresses to their collection. We’ve all been there when we have that one important event to attend, but we don’t want to spend the money to buy something we’ll probably only wear once…especially city girls. Our closets are already bursting at the seems, last thing we need is another dress that just takes up space.
Today is a picture overload day, but I wanted to share three different ways dresses from Rent the Runway can be worn. This is not a sponsored post. I simply wanted to share RTR with you because it’s a brilliant model and super convenient. As someone who loves to try new trends, but also save money (it’s the midwest in me), RTR is a great alternative to buying something new every time you have a special event to attend.
Let’s get started!
The perfect summer wedding attire. This dress by Tibi is one of my favorite pieces I’ve rented from RTR. It’s one of those dresses that I wish I actually had a wedding to attend so I can wear it again. This summer we have zero weddings to attend, so instead I wore it to dinner with Matt (minus the hat). I imagine wearing this dress to a Cape wedding on a warm summer day with a few fun accessories, like the hat and straw bag. The off the shoulder ruffles give the dress the right amount of detail to make this it wedding appropriate. The soft navy satin material makes it manageable for events on the hottest summer days. Last but not least, the perfectly placed pockets is what really won me over. The concept of pockets in dresses is just brilliant and makes this types of dress so practical for weddings.
The festive wedding rehearsal dress. I originally wore this Milly dress on our trip to Cape Cod a few months ago, but the dress is also appropriate for a casual wedding or a rehearsal dinner. This adorable dress will get you tons of compliments! From the cut of the dress to the red and white pattern, this dress offers a little more than your typical summer outfit.
The everyday summer dress. This Ville Maxi by Line is a dress that I could easily have worn 4-5 times this summer. Contradicting myself here, but this is a good summer staple to have in your closet. I style the dress with a lightweight denim jacket and grey suede heels. The dress is fitted uptop and has adjustable straps, so it’s flattering to a woman’s body. The high slit on the side gives you room to move and a little breeze when it’s exceptionally hot outside. Since the dress is fully lined, it gives the dress a little weight but also giving you an airy effect (see pics below).
