4th of July in DUMBO
Wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July! Keeping today’s post short, but wanted to share a few photos from our recent trip to DUMBO. I wore this festive dress from ASOS and Zara flats for our morning adventure. We cabbed over to DUMBO and snapped a few photos of the iconic Williamsburg Bridge + Empire State Building view. A funny story about DUMBO and the 4th of July, a few years ago we made the mistake of going to DUMBO to watch the fireworks. After waiting 3+ hours with thousands of other people, (yes, thousands of people) everyone realized that we couldn’t view the firework display in the area we were standing. <pure chaos> As you can imagine, everyone starting rushing towards the fireworks. We saw the last 2 minutes of fireworks finale. Salt on wound, we had to walk home. This consisted of us walking over the Williamsburg bridge and then home…took us over 2 hours to get home. Matt and I laugh about it now, but we weren’t laughing back then ;).
Live and you learn.
This year we sticking around our apartment. Hopefully we can see the fireworks from our balcony, if not, we’ll probably be eating ice cream and drinking a cold beverage.
A few updates, both bad and good. I’ve gotten a few emails about not being on Feedly feed. When I switched over to WordPress, for some reason my subscribers are no longer able to view my posts. I’ve reached out to my tech team and Feedly and they told me that everyone will have to add me back. That’s the bad news. The good news, if you want to get my posts updates please add me on Bloglovin. Also, my goal for the month of July is to have a weekly newsletter with current posts and new content. I’ll be sure to let every know when it’s around the corner.
Last update, I’m on Snapchat. My username is CorporatCatwalk (no e in Corporate). The snaps are mostly of the animals and our adventures in NYC. Be sure to follow along on Snapchat, next week I’m sharing some exciting news.

Thank you Alexa! Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July!
Very pretty and patriotic 😉
Hope you got to see the fireworks from your balcony. I did 😉
Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July, Lorena. Yes, we were able to see them from the balcony! Oh that’s awesome you were too. It’s such a great way to spend the 4th. After fireworks you don’t have to work about traffic, it’s wonderful!
I’ve seen this dress on so many people and kind of was on the fence about it, but you look SO perfect in it! I love everything about it on you! Glad you got to see the fireworks from your balcony (saw on Snapchat!). Can’t wait to see your exciting news this week!
