What to Wear to Work | Pink Shift Dress

Hope every enjoyed the weekend! As much as I love spending time with my family on the weekends, I’ve learn to embrace Mondays and set myself up for a successful week by setting weekly goals and milestones. I’ve not always had this outlook in my career, but with time (and probably age) I kickoff most Mondays with a smile and focus on what I’m going to accomplish for the week. Admittedly, I spend the first 30 minutes in bed reminiscing about the weekend by flipping through photos and cuddling my family. After looking at my schedule for the day, I jump out of bed and start the day. That’s just something I learned, I guess it comes down to embracing Mondays with the best attitude you can give. We all have those weeks that just don’t start well, just keep muscling through it, Friday is just around the corner.

I wanted to start off by saying this is not a sponsored post, but I wanted to share a brand I’ve been buying a lot of lately — Whistles. For a few years I’ve seen the brand online and in-stores, but never paid too much attention or tried anything on. That changed last week when I went to Bloomingdales in search of lightweight pieces to wear around the city and on the weekends. The sales woman brought me a black cotton dress with tie sleeves (similar to this sweater, but imagine as a black dress) and I fit perfectly, plus is was really comfortable. The price point is similar to Theory, but the collection includes more vibrant colors, feminine silhouettes and a good mix of work pieces and off-duty pieces. This blush shift dress (from ASOS) fits perfectly for any 9-5, especially on those warm summer days at the office. Bloomingdale’s is having a big sale on almost (90%) the entire collection, I’ve included some of my favorite pieces below.

    • Thank you Devon! I’m in the same boat. Love the simplicity of the heel, as well!

    • Thank you Shelley! I’m considering the same thing. I typically wear size 6 in open toe heels, but I think I’m going to get a 6.5 in these heels. They run a little small.

Thank you for the compliment 😉

So chic! And what a great outlook on Mondays. They can be such a drag sometimes, but I love the idea of flipping through photos from the weekend before you get out of bed. Thanks for sharing!
