Afternoon in Gibraltar
While aboard the Royal Princess Cruise, we made a stop in Gibraltar, which is part of the United Kingdom. Bordered by Spain, the people of the Gibraltar are bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. They’re also very loyal to their British roots (I’m a little bit of a history nerd, so I find it interesting this small town bordered by Spain is still part of the UK). As we wondered through the streets of Gibraltar, we noticed the Spanish influence through the food, architecture and people. On our way back to the boat we stumbled upon this beautiful corner of the city, which was even more stunning from the opposite side.
On this particular day, we walked from the boat to downtown and I wore my Joie wedges. I know what you’re thinking, “OMG, who wears wedges to walk around”, anyone who owns these shoes knows that they’re really comfortable to walk around in for a few hours. They have a padded insole and a rubber sole, making it easier to stroll around the city. If you’re looking for comfortable wedges, stay away from anything wooden or with a hard bottom. The dress is by Suncoo and perfect for the hot and humid summer days. I’ve been unable to find the dress in the same length, but they do have it available in similar styles here and here. I’ve also linked more of my favorite summer dresses:
